Russel J. Geist is a partner with the Firm, focusing his practice primarily on trust and probate litigation. Originally from Alliance, Nebraska, Russel earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. After moving to Las Vegas, Russel earned his Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and continued his legal education by obtaining his Master of Laws degree in Taxation from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
He has experience helping clients with Nevada asset protection and dynasty trusts, advanced estate and gift tax planning techniques, and generational wealth transfer planning for high-net-worth clients. Geist has handled complex trust and probate administration matters in addition to litigation involving trusts and estates representing both fiduciaries and beneficiaries. Russel currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Congressional Award Council of Nevada where he also serves as its legal counsel.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
In his free time, Russel enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and children. He and his family particularly enjoy hiking Red Rock Canyon and Mt. Charleston and take camping and fi shing trips to connect with each other and with the environment. Russel, a licensed amateur radio operator, also enjoys connecting with other Hams locally and around the world.
