Rik Wade is a partner in the Firm’s litigation department, practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, premises liability, family law (guardianships), and criminal defense.
Rik is originally from Rock Springs, Wyoming. Rik attended the University of Utah, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Rik then went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate Degree with honors from the S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2009.
During law school, Rik served as Editor-in-Chief of the Utah Law Review and was Vice President of the Jackie Chiles Law Society. Rik received CALI and COL awards for outstanding student achievement and was distinguished as a William H. Leary Scholar.
Rik began his career as a litigation attorney with a small Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated law firm in Las Vegas, focusing on commercial litigation, before joining Hutchison & Steffen in 2010. He is admitted to practice in Nevada.
In his free time, Rik enjoys spending time with his family, tinkering with electronics, and woodworking.
