Maliq I. Kendricks is an associate attorney with the Firm, practicing primarily in the areas of Business Law and Commercial Litigation. He joins the firm after completing a clerkship with the Honorable Cristina D. Silva at the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada.
Maliq is a native-Nevadan but graduated in 2016 from Tuskegee University in Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Maliq went on to receive his Juris Doctorate degree in 2019 from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where he was named to the National Order of Scribes by the American Society of Legal Writers. Maliq simultaneously obtained a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UNLV in 2019.
As a law student, Maliq worked as a full-time English teacher at his alma-mater middle school and was a Teach For America corps member. During his law school summers, Maliq externed for the Honorable Elizabeth Gonzalez at the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada and interned in the Boyd Gaming Corporation’s legal department. On-campus, Maliq was a member of the Nevada Law Journal, received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing, served as a Teaching Assistant for legal writing professor Terrill Pollman, and worked as a Research Assistant in the Wiener-Rogers Law Library.
